Thank You to all the Friends and Supporters of the Coraki Art Prize! The Trivia Night 2011 was another great success & provided some memorable moments.
Chief among them were Labor Senator John Faulkner singing ‘Puff the Magic Dragon’ and the sight of Lismore Mayor Jenny Dowell and her team mates all dressed in togas and wearing wreaths on their heads.
Former Defence Minister Senator Faulkner hosted the fund-raising event and prepared the 72 quiz questions.
Senator Faulkner declared the event a great success, the best of the three he has hosted so far. “They were such a great crowd, singing along and getting into the spirit of the show. This is something I look forward to each year,” he said.
The quiz night, which is the major fund-raiser for the art prize, to be held at the end of October, attracted a record crowd of more than 150 participants.
Apart from the fun-filled trivia quiz, attractions included a lucky door prize, a raffle with many prizes donated by local businesses, a silent auction of a still life painting by local Coraki artist Jan Nixon and a superb buffet.
